A Captain's Welcome...

Checkendon CC is proud to be a thriving, family orientated club, playing league cricket on Saturdays, friendly games each Sunday as well as having a growing midweek Twenty20 team.

Since our inception there have been many changes to the game but here at Checkendon CC, we play cricket in the spirit it was intended - though that doesn't stop us from trying to win every game! Whilst we have a competitive Saturday side, we aim to get everyone involved; no matter their standard or experience. Both new and youth members are actively encouraged.

I believe that a cricket club is more than just 11 players on the field and, as such, we encourage family and friends to come along to lend their support. Our active social scene has been boosted by coordinated match day picnics for the supporters & non-players, regular post match BBQs and a club day during the season. We are proud to run a well-established tour to Sussex each year. The fun doesn’t stop during the off-season, with the annual club dinner and the ever popular race night fundraiser.
